Cinderella is Almost Here!

The South Pointe Ballet performances of Cinderella are April 5 - 6. Cinderella will be held at the Summit Academy in Draper. There are evening performances each night at 7:00 p.m. and a matinee performance on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. These performances are a great opportunity for young dancers and their families to enjoy classical ballet at a great price and time/length appropriate for small children. Flyers about the performance will be handed out in regular classes. All students of C&C Ballet can see the ballet for a $1.00 admission price. This will be a great performance!

Rehearsal Schedule for Cinderella

We have had so many people asking about the rehearsal schedule for Cinderella that we wanted to put it in a permanent place for you. There may be other rehearsals added as needed and we will add the complete March schedule when it becomes available.

There are no rehearsals over Presidents' Day weekend.

Christmas Performance

We are so excited about our Christmas Performance! It will be on December 11, 2012 at: Bingham High School. The address is 10400 South 2200 West. We will have two performances, one for the Lower School at 7:00 pm and one for the Upper School at 8:00 pm.

All dancers need to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled performance time. They need to arrive in costume and with makeup on. Children in the lower school performance will be sitting with their families in the auditorium during the performance.  The dancers will need to be brought to the backstage area in groups of 10 dance numbers.

Dancers who are in the upper school performance will be in a room off of the backstage area. They will stay in the room during the entire performance.  Costume changes will take place in the dressing room. Dancers will not be allowed in the auditorium after their dances. They will need to wait until the entire performance is over to join their families. Teachers will give individual instructions on hair and makeup for each class.

Cinderella Audition Times

Don't forget the South Pointe Ballet Company auditions for Cinderella on Saturday, November 3. Students Level 3 and up are encouraged to audition. Times are as follows:

12:00-1:00 dancers who have had no pointe     
1:00-2:00 dancers who have 1 year of pointe     
2:00-3:00 dancers with more than 2 years of pointe

Cinderella Auditions and the Fundraiser

We are so excited to team with South Pointe Ballet again this year to present Cinderella. Auditions will be held at the studio on November 3, 2012. All students Level 3 and up are invited to participate. The performance will be April 5 - 6 at the Summit Academy in Draper.

We are also encouraging everyone to participate in our Tupperware Fundraiser this year. Forty percent of your sales comes directly back to you. None of this money is given to the studio. You can use it for costumes, performance fees, and even tuition. So grab a packet and get started!

Orders are due November 2.

Did you Pre-register?

I hope you had time to turn in your registration forms. Level 2 is completely full. Other classes are filling up as well. Don't put this off any longer. Take your registration form in today!

Performing Team Auditions

Don't forget that Performing Team auditions will be held Thursday, Aug.23rd at 7pm. We have several fun and exciting performances already scheduled!
